'Preciate that Prof Page 2 Juilliard Quartet Page 3 Vol. 10 No. 11 Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana March 1, 1963 Kammerer Chosen to Travel with V V to Orient Glenn "Chet" Kammerer was unanimously selected to tour the Orient this summer with the Venture for Victory basketball team. Kammerer will arrive in Los Angeles the first week in June and spend ten days of drills under Coach Don Odle from Taylor University. The team will then fly to Hawaii, on to Guam, the Philippines, Formosa, Japan, Matsu, Korea, and China. The men will be joined by four other men in the Philippines, two of whom are missionaries with Overseas Crusades Missions. VICTORIOUS IN 610 GAMES Since its origin in 1952, Venture for Victory has won 610 games and lost only 20. But more important than this, they have communicated the gospel to millions. This is their chief purpose in going. ASKS PRAYER SUPPORT Says 6' Kammerer, "It's a real miracle that I was chosen to be in the team. The committee hadn't even seen my application at the time I was accepted. Although I know the schedule will be rough, I am looking forward to the opportunity of witnessing and playing basketball for my Lord. I would really appreciate the prayer support of the student body." NEEDS $1600 Chet will be speaking in churches, at clubs and to interested persons in an attempt to raise the necessary $1600. "Revival" Conference Begins Kammerer, Odle and Messner discuss Venture for Victory plans for the coming summer. Ash Accepted By P. M. T. Rosalie Ash, junior, has been accepted by the Practical Missionary Training Union for mission work in Mexico and Central America this summer. P.M.T. provides practical experience in mission stations and backgrounds for those interested in foreign missionary service. Rosalie will be leaving on June 21 from Los Angeles for Mexico City and her first period of training. Part of the summer includes a trip to Guatemala and other Central American countries, working among the natives. Peugh Returns To Berlin SOUNDING BOARD foreign correspondent Roger Peugh is back on the job in the divided city of Berlin. Peugh returned to Germany, Jan. 31, after spending six weeks in the States. Aside from taking 22 hours of German a week at the Geothe Institute, he is working with another American, Bill Yoder, director of Berlin Youth for Christ. Says Peugh,"It is our goal to see a number of high school clubs established in Berlin schools this spring. But for several reasons thIs will be very difficult. In the first place German schools have absolutely no clubs or social activities. Also, the German problematic mind places a new idea such as this, young people winning their friends to Christ, in the impossible category. If a German youth has a belief, he more (See "Berlin," page 4) "The Man God Uses," "The Spirit-Filled Life," and "Revival Themes" are the general topics for Dr. A. W. Tozer, Dr. Charles W. Mayes, and Dr. Tom Malone during the Conference on Revival and Evangelism next week. The Conference begins Tuesday morning, March 5, at the 9:30 chapel hour. The purpose of the conference is to study the how, why, when and conditions of revival and evangelism. The four-day seminar will include four sessions a day and is sponsored by the Seminary Student Council."~ Dr0 A. W. Tozer is Pastor of the Avenue Road Church in Toronto, Canada, as well as being editor of "Alliance Weekly" magazine. He is also the author of many books. Dr. Charles W. Mayes has been Pastor at the First Brethren Church, Long Beach, Cal., for 17 years. He is also a member of the Foreign Mission Board and an authority on Christian education. Dr. Tom Malone is President of Midwest Baptist College and Seminary as well as pastoring the Immanuel Baptist Church, Pontiac, Mich.
