Thanks to a federal grant awarded under the Library Services and Technology Act, Anderson University’s Nicholson Library and the Anderson University & Church of God Archives was able to partner with Bracken Library at Ball State University to begin the work of converting the early editions of the Gospel Trumpet to searchable digital issues. The earlier issues of this publication, 1881-1922, may be searched and read online. It is the ideal research tool for those interested in learning more about the prominent leaders, historical events, or unique beliefs that helped lay the foundation for what is now the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana).
The Gospel Trumpet continued to be published under this title through June 3, 1962 and then continued under the name of Vital Christianity through January 1996, at which time it ceased publication. In June 2004 a replacement publication began under the title ONE voice! This new format was published until April/May 2007 when it was discontinued. These later issues are not in public domain and remain under copyright. Off-campus access to the copyrighted issues is available to current faculty/staff and students. Access to these issues can be found by clicking this link.
