The Eliza Blaker Collection includes photographs and speeches relating to the life and work of Eliza Blaker along with historical records of the Teachers College of Indianapolis and the Butler University College of Education. Eliza Blaker established kindergartens in Indiana based on the teachings of Friedrich Froebel. She later started the Teachers College of Indianapolis which began an affiliation with Butler University in 1926 and became the College of Education. Additional materials from the collection, housed in the Special Collections at Butler University Libraries, will be added to this digital collection as resources allow.
