JESUS F.:ays, "I can of mine own self do llotliillg; as I hear, I judge: and my jUdgment is just; because I seek not mine own' will, but the will of the Father \v}lich hath sent me." In these words Christ acknowledges his inability to accomplish anything of himself. How much less may we accomplish in the work of God if we lean to our own understanding or qualifications. In 2 001'. 3: 5, we read: "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God." The Syriac renders sufficiency, effeciency, and the Emphatic Diaglott, making it still plainer, r~ads, "Not that we are qualified of ourselves, but our qualification is of God, who hath qualirled us to be servants of a new coven&'nt." 'When we cease to depend on God we cease to do his will. "Then we cease to do his will we cease to depend 011 him. Jesus with all boldn~ss could say his judgment was just, because he sought not his own will, but the will of God. ~nd he knew he could do all things in God's will, which was all he cared to do. So we, with all boldness, can move out when we know we have God's will, and do all things through him that strengtheneth us. Phil. 4: 13.
